It is by far the best manual, portable sharpener I have ever used…. I especially like the versatility of it. I have used it on flat and re-curve blades as well as fishing hooks and leather punches and it performed well. Something for everyone in this little package.”

Strong rare earth magnets secure the diamond grit plates in place and also provide a cover for the broadhead wrench and small storage compartment. Compact design and lanyard hole make it easy to pack and carry on any excursion, keeping you prepared with sharp edges when you need them most.

This the best sharpening tool for field use I ever had. I don't need the broadhead wrench and I don't sharpen fish hooks but for sharpening your hunting knife or any other blade you use in the field this tool does a great job.
Low weight, small package, good sharpening and a good price it's my constant companion in the outdoors.
I wonder whether you can buy replacement fine diamond plates.

I bought the last one at Bass Pro Shops after Christmas and I am totally happy with the product. I own the WORK SHARP KNIFE AND TOOL Sharpener & the thought entered my mind, there's no electricity in the bush. So the field sharpener is the logical answer for keeping your steel at its sharpness in the bush. I loaded the leather strop with green compound and have used this after cutting down a cardboard box that held a 55" Samsung UND Smart tv. I honed the knife (CRKT S.P.E.W.) back to its former edge. This the best product I've bought this year. My addiction is knives and I'm not happy unless they stay sharp. Thanks for putting this in my bush tool kit.

I am in my late 50's and for years have been sharpening my knifes with wet hand stones.... and getting what I thought was sharp edge. Thought I was getting a great edge until I used the "worksharp". After about an hour of hands on practice.... I have repaired old pitted blades, sharpened fixed blades, pocket knifes and tomahawks so that they ALL effortlessly cut through paper like going through butter!
This is a great tool, in the house or in the field.
Excellent product.. thank you.

P.S. All the great reviews led me to purchase this product. I was not disappointed.
