Built on the core of the Ken Onion Edition Knife and Tool Sharpener, the Elite Sharpening System handles everything from complete blade repairs to mirror-polish for those who want the best in sharpening performance. The Work Sharp Elite Knife Sharpening Solution’s Blade Grinding Attachment is constructed using cast metal components and engineered polymers to endure the rigors of heavy shaping and sharpening tasks. It uses 1”x18” engineered abrasive belts in an assortment of five grits and a 4 pulley system that adjusts from 10° to 35° in 1° increments, the Work Sharp Elite Knife Sharpening Solution gives you the most control and freedom of any of our sharpeners.
Belt speed is adjustable from 1200-2800 SFM (surface feet per minute) to accommodate a wide range of sharpening and honing tasks.
Two sets of abrasives will be included. One size is for the sharpening cassette attachment, and the other is for the blade-grinding attachment.

They stated there was a learning curve but I was up and running after 5 minutes. I finally have sharp knives.

In the past, I was unable to put a good edge on a blade. The best way to have a sharp knife,
was to use it as sparingly as possible.
Now, with the Ken Onion Edition and the 18″ attachment, I sharpen every knife, brand new out of the box. I look for reasons to sharpen a knife.
The warranty was “no questions asked” except where did you buy it, and send a picture of the problem and serial number.
Within a couple of days,
I had a replacement sharpener.
I found that the work Sharp belts, even though more expensive, last an incredibly long time.
