I have a small neighborhood sharpening business. I never received a lot of chisels, or lath tool business, and what little I received, I usually did on a stone or belt. Generally, most customers were bringing kitchen knives, chain saw blades, lopping/pruning shears. After getting a lot more of the chisels as my business increased, I looked into getting the WS 3000. It has increased my business two fold! So easy to duplicate a customer’s chisel angle and sharpening the lath tools on the ‘see through’ wheel is now increasing that business. Great machine. No complaints.

I have been in the trades for 51 years, since 1970. In those years I have probably used every method of sharpening system. Many were goo, some not so much. But in the early 2000’s, I bought the WS3000, and I’ve never looked back. I sold my last sharpening system shortly after. This system is the best all around system I’ve ever used in my 51 years of being in the trades. I can’t see any reason to go with anything else. This serves my needs perfectly.

In my woodwright shop behind my house, I used wet stones etc. Bought the WS3000 in 2013 and Tormek adapter. Now I sharpen all tools including antique hand planes
and turning tools with my WS3000.
