    40 or 50 degree

How do we (most customers) know or determine whether a knife is 40 or 50 degrees, especially serrated ones? Otherwise, these are super sharpeners. I’ve given them as Christmas presents, and they were well received!omndayi

    Quality control of injection.

Above all sharpeners I have ever owned. Work Sharp KTS runs circles around them.
I gave them all to my neighbors and didnt tell them what I was now using.
My only beef is that the kitchen knife guide supports that should go behind the 2 alignment screws aren’t long enough to keep the guide from rocking back and forth, It makes contact with the first but not the second. Which totally makes it harder to create any type of consistent edge.
Either way you slice it :). I love this tool and cant believe this wasn’t on my work shelve a lot sooner.

the thing melted on the right side…needs to be made out of brass or something more substantial

I do like the way it sharpened my knifes…but the plastic does not hold up under any extended use…kinda starts melting as I experienced.

Work Sharp response: Please call our Customer Service team – your machine should not be hot enough to melt anything. Most knives need only a few passes along the belts to create a very sharp edge. The short grinding time should not create any heat. If you are reshaping an edge, we recommend stopping occasionally to let the blade return to room temperature. Blotting the blade on a damp sponge can help dissipate any heat build up. Be sure to dry the blade before each pass on the belt. If you are reshaping or repairing a lot of blades, the Ken Onion Edition sharpener with the Blade Grinding Attachment is designed to handle such work loads.
