Guided Sharpening System
The Work Sharp® Guided Sharpening System is a complete benchtop sharpening solution for every knife you own.
This contact form is available only for logged in users.
The Guided Sharpening System is our complete benchtop sharpening and honing system. It was created with both novice and master sharpeners in mind and can be used to sharpen every knife you own.
The innovative Pivot-Response® system follows the curve of the blade while sharpening, putting a sharp edge along the entire length of the blade. The skill is built into the tool, so it makes sharpening fun and easy to learn thanks to 17° & 20° Angle Guides. The angle guided hone can be used separately and taken with you out into the field so you can maintain your edges away from your benchtop.
Use the Guided Sharpening System to put a perfect edge on your pocket, hunting, and kitchen knives – as well as serrations, fish hooks, and tools – while mastering your manual sharpening skills.
Experienced sharpeners will appreciate the thought-out features that make this a versatile and complete knife and tool sharpening system.

Very Good Sharpener But Needs Tweaking
I take pride in maintaining sharp knives and have tried several sharpeners. This is one really works well. I am awaiting the arrival of the upgrade kit. Please offer finer grit plates of at least 1,000 and 2,000. Need angle guides with shallower angles than 17 degrees which is too steep for Japanese chef knives as well as Zwilling and Wusthof. Those high end knives have sharpening angles of 15, 12, and sometimes 10 degrees.
Overall, this is a great sharpening system that with refinements would be truly excellent.

Sharp
I have the guided (manual) and the electric Work Sharp. I use the manual system to set the edge and the electric to strip and polish. Unbelievable results- hair shaving and quickly. Try it.

Very good with very little flaws
This is my second WS sharpener. I learned freehand sharpening with the guided field sharpener and after that I switched to benchstones. Because of the watering time and dirt when working with Watertown’s I searched for a fast, clean and easy sharpener. I bought the WSGSS with the upgrade and am very very happy with it! I had every payable sharpening system like Lansky, sharpmaker etc but this one rules them all. From blade shaping to stripping, all in one fast and clean system! Sharpens the whole blade, doesn’t dull the tip and my knives are shaving sharp in minutes. I just miss a real ceramic stone which I can use with the 17 and 20 degree angles. The round rod with 25degree angle is unusable for me. Please release a normal plate made of ceramic! Also it seems like the fine stone Looses its bite very fast (I know the plates have to break in), the grits broke in and are good, but the fine one does feel less aggressive than the ultra fine. Please also add the replacement parts in the shop so I can easily buy single items (and sell them to your dealers since I’m from Germany and the shipping costs arevery High).
Thanks for this great system!
