1. SHARP KNIVES ARE MORE EFFICIENT
Very sharp knives are extremely efficient in the kitchen. They can easily slice through meat, vegetables & any other food without breaking a sweat. This is a benefit for you as it helps quicken the pace in the kitchen for prep & serving. If you want to test out how sharp your knives are then try the onion test. Get an onion from the supermarket & try dicing it normally. If you at any point struggle to slice through the onion then you need to sharpen your knife. Onions are slippery and thin skinned. If you cannot safely chop an onion then you need to get sharper knives.
2. SHARP KNIVES ARE SAFER
You heard it here first, sharper knives are actually safer! While a knife is not a tool to mess around with, if you are going to use it then it better be very sharp. Most accidents in the kitchen are caused from the knife slipping from where it should go & slicing something it should not. Having a sharp knife actually ensures that when you slice into food, then it is going right where you want it to.
3. SHARPENING YOUR KNIFE IS NOT EXPENSIVE OR HARD TO LEARN
Some people might be intimidated by learning how to sharpen their knives. In our modern world, there is no need for that anymore!
