Work Sharp Blog Wins Awards

“It was an absolute honor to be recognized by NOWA for An Elk Hunting Heritage. Archery elk hunting is our passion and so to receive an award for writing about a personal experience is something I’ll cherish forever.”

– Richy Harrod

When it comes to gathering articles and posts for our blog, Work Sharp focuses on providing readers with Tips & Tricks for sharpening, how-to’s when in the field or on the water, and occasional hunting or fishing stories that bind us all together as outdoorsmen and women.

Recently, The Northwest Outdoor Writers Association awarded Work Sharp Lead Brand Ambassador, Richy Harrod, first place for his article, An Elk Hunting Heritage. Harrod’s story was written for and featured on the Work Sharp blog as a central tale that honors the traditions of hunting and how the legacy passes from generation to generation, and how being prepared leads to great success in the field. The article was broken up into three segments:

Part 1, Legacy
Part 2, Preparedness
Part 3: Success

Northwest Outdoor Writers Association also awarded our Pro Staffer Troy Rodakowski for his article Making That Shot On An Animal Isn’t Always Easy, in 2017. The article was recently republished on the Work Sharp blog with minor additions. The post pulls together some of the best stories Troy has heard over the years when it comes to the extreme or sometime laugh-out-loud situations people have found themselves in to make the shot on an animal. Check that article out here.

Congratulations to our Work Sharp Pro Staff team for these awesome wins! Their time in the field generates great content that we are lucky to share with our readers.
