Every year, Work Sharp donates over 350 varying products, hats, t-shirts, mugs, and other swag to non-profit outdoor organizations who focus on education, preservation, and conservation of the outdoors. An underlying theme we hear when donation requests come into our headquarters is, heritage.
A recent donation was to the Grand River Sportsman's Club in Lemmon, South Dakota. The club emphasised that a donation like ours "...aids in the promotion of the outdoors to youth, so we can pass this heritage on for future generations."
Our donation of our Guided Field Sharpener was used as prizes for youth participating in an outdoor challenge. Kids varying from ages 10-16 had the opportunity to try their hand at several different outdoor activities including trap shooting, .22 and .223 rifle shooting, archery, casting, and "shoot, don't shoot scenarios."
Over 80 kids signed up for the event, all future outdoorsmen and women.
The biggest reward when supporting a group like Grand River Sportsman's Club is seeing the outcome of the events we donated to. The outpouring of appreciation is awesome, and even more rewarding for our team is hearing the stories and being part of the outdoor journey that folks are taking part in.
Your stories and heritage matter to us at Work Sharp, and we want to hear about it.
