Work Sharp Quest 2.0

The Work Sharp Quest is a real-life treasure hunt! 35 Boxes packed with loot are stashed across the United States on public land! Over the summer of 2022 Work Sharp will share clues on Instagram and on this page to help you find these incredible boxes!

Each box is a Yeti GoBox packed with loot from our friends like Leatherman, Costa, Camp Chef, and plenty of Work Sharp Gear and Swag!

Northeast

    Box 30

    Clues:

    • New York, Quest box 30 is hiding somewhere in your state! Jason Ellsworth helped us by hiding this one and clues will follow soon!

    Found Boxes:

    Box #4 – Found

    Clues:

    • Get ready Northeast! Clues for box four coming this week!
    • Not just known for maple syrup and pretty foliage, Vermont has some great areas to hide a treasure!
    • With rocks to color of new snow, this national recreation area holds what you seek!
    • Go where the caves hold ice all year round…
    • If you arrive where the water runs cold and the air takes a chill, you are still not there. Look forward and left and see the ridgeline. On the other side, treasure awaits
    • Once there, if you face to the west the opening of the cave forms a rhombus. You must enter the cave to find the treasure

    Quest Box 27 – Found

    Clues:

    • Get ready Massachusetts, Quest box 27 has been hidden in your state! Stay tuned for clues later this week.
    • Somewhere along the 230 mile Bay Circuit Trail, Quest Box 27 hides.
    • The BCT runs through this State Forest known for Mt. Biking and Hiking
    • Near a town known for their fried clams
    • On a spur trail between the Pine Swamp and Bull Brook
    • Near the bridge…

    Quest Box 28 – Found

    Clues:

    • New Jersey! Quest Box 28 is in your state and clues will start dropping tomorrow morning, so drop your plans and get ready for a treasure hunt! This box comes to us courtesy of a fellow public lands owner. Let’s remember to tread lightly as you hunt for this box and leave the area better than you found it 👊
    • Start you Quest in the “Gap”.
    • The “AT” runs over this mountain named after a noisy snake.
    • At the base of the mountain a swamp bears the same name. Your treasure is nearby, tread carefully!
    • About 50 yards from the swamps edge the Quest box resides. A blowdown provides a perfect hole to house this treasure.

Southeast


    Found Boxes:

    Box #15 – Found

    Clues:

    • Get ready Southeast! Clues for box 15 are coming soon!
    • Tennessee! Get ready you’ve got a Quest box in your area. Smokey Mountain Knife Works hid this box so you will want to follow their Instagram and YouTube channel to catch the all the clues!!!
    • Traveling East Northeast out of Gatlinburg, take a right at 6 miles, after you reach the title of a Keith Urban hit proceed 2 more miles to a trailhead whose name makes you think sweet thoughts.
    • Head to Smoke Mountain Knife Works Instagram or YouTube channel for a video clue!
    • On this trail 8 creek crossings will occur and at 3.2 miles you will find a relic from a time long gone.
    • Nichols-Shepard are the only names that remain at this accident scene.
    • After taking in the steam relic, as you head back the way you came, the engine faces another dead relic that just might hold a surprise!

    Box #17 – Found

    Clues:

    • Get ready Southeast Region! Quest box 17 is out here waiting, so stay tuned for more clues this weekend!
    • Our friends at Georgia Bushcraft hid box 17 so you better be ready to put the work in if you want this treasure, hid in their home state.
    • Our Appalachian history makes you ponder, pick up a book about it at Wander. Once you leave town it’s a short hike, when you find the path you won’t need a bike. Along this path you may see land turn to sea, On the right day you can see three of fifty.
    • On the way here you may leave the state, but it won’t be for long so don’t hesitate. The forests here are wet, but the drive north east is beautiful. Pass by the green dinosaur, where you once could get fuel.
    • Hopefully someone is on the winning streak, in case you were wondering I’m the second highest peak. I may just be near a rock hanging from a tree along a route where the three trails meet. Turn to your right you can’t miss me, right next to the yeti box full of goodies hanging from a tree.

    Box #12 – Found

    Clues:

    • Heads up Southeast Region you have a Quest box coming in HOT! Box 12 is in your region and clues are coming soon!
    • Taylor Martin with Best Damn EDC hid this box somewhere in North Carolina! Check out the video for your first clues.
    • Box #12 is within an off road vehicle park that is home to some of the best trails in the East. Find a specific staging area named after a western settlement in Utah which is named after the man himself. You got that right, a staging area in NC is named after an old town in Utah which is named after its primary settler. Among the timber and stone lies box 12. Google cannot be completely trusted for your quest in this area.
    • Beginning from the staging area head immediately south then east then north. You may trek on foot but if you wish to go by vehicle make sure it’s equipped for the job. Once you’ve traveled the length of 2,140 Umnumzaan turn up grade and head off trail.
    • Box 12 resides just below the crest of the hill among the rocks and trees. This is your final clue for this weekend.

    Box 18 – Found

    Clues:

    • Southeast Region you have ANOTHER QUEST box in your area!!! Box 18 clues incoming this week…Stay tuned….
    • What was once goin to be the “Power House” to east TN in the late 1970’s before its cancelation in 1982…
    • Among this industrial lies a trail only accessible by foot, bike, or horseback. Head in but stay on the gravel!
    • You may need to tip toe through a section once you see lily pads… No need to go anywhere you should not be!
    • Still no luck? A structure with restrictions is a hot clue, no need to go any further, your close…
    • Last clue for the weekend. Metal that once held back water now conceals a treasure

Great Lakes


    Found Boxes:

    Box #6 – Found

    Clues:

    • Get Ready Great Lakes! Clues for box six coming this week!
    • Box 6 is in the Buckeye State in a county founded in 1808
    • Choose from 1,000 miles of trails to explore, beaches and boating facilities for fun on the water, cozy campgrounds, cabins and lodges for comfortable stays, and special events and nature programs to make your stay memorable. Enjoy your visit!
    • “______ is implemented in water treatment and other industrial applications, but food grade ______, approved by the FDA, is safe for household use in small quantities.”
    • NW Fork, park where you want, but you’ll need something that floats.
    • An island named for something to hold your drink
    • Water Fowl Marker 22. This is the last clue for 2 weeks

    Box #21 – Found

    Clues:

    • Great Lakes Region get ready! Quest box 21 is out there waiting! More clues to follow later this week.
    • Check out Huntstand Media’s video on Instagram today for your first look at where to find Quest box 21
    • “Our living standard can be no higher than the standard of our natural resources.” Southeastern Minnesota’s landscape is dominated by rolling hills and steep bluffs and valleys. The man quoted above came up with a plan to combat the destructive erosion of this terrain-rich environment in the 1930s, ultimately establishing one of the most beautiful and vast hardwood forests in the state. 12 PM PST
    • Among its 45,000 public acres you’ll find Box #21 in this Work Sharp Quest! Get behind the wheel and head into Goodhue County.
    • Twists and turns along a scenic trout stream will eventually lead you to a fork in the road. Ascend westward a ways before finding a parking spot along the shoulder. Strap on a good pair of boots and start climbing.
    • Somewhere along the towering ridge, your treasure is tucked into a shelter of deadfalls atop a natural bench. Don’t be surprised if you hear a bull elk bugling in the distance as the days get shorter and summer transitions into fall!

South


    Found Boxes:

    Box #5 – Found

    Clues:

    • Get ready South region! Clues coming for box #5 this weeks!
    • In a state known for it’s abundant fishery, delicious cuisine, and historical haunts, you’ll find box #5 at the edge of the swamp. Remember to keep eyes on Instagram for clues!!!
    • The town is quaint and named so well, a pirate here did used to dwell
    • Off the beaten path where some may leisure, you’ll stumble on this buried treasure.
    • Find yourself on treasure street and head into the cypress trees, take a break a top a stump or grab a bench besides the dump.
    • The ghosts of baseball games of past, ring the levee as you pass.
    • Follow the canal past the sunken ship and mind the trail ‘lest ye trip
    • If you pass the bend you’ve gone too far, dig around and there you are! This is your last clue for 2 weeks!

    Box #23 – Found

    Clues:

    • QUEST BOX ALERT! South region get ready box #23 is coming your way. Stay tuned for clues later this week!
    • Quest box 23 can be found somewhere in Texas, courtesy of our friends at Reiff Knives. Stay tuned for more clues to come!
    • 20 minutes outside of Dallas, you can find where Ben Carpenter left his mark. I promised my dog Heinz that I would take him to his favorite spot before hitting the trail to make the drop!
    • On the path less traveled past the paw place… if you reach the range you have gone too far!
    • It’s on Riverside, not the side of the river.
    • Still no luck? Look closely in the wash before you’re all washed up…

Great Plains

    Box #10

    Clues:

    • Get ready Great Plains Region, Quest box 10 is out there waiting! Stay tuned for more clues to come later this week!
    • Start your search on Forest Service land, not far from the shared boundary of a State and National Park
    • On you search for box 10, avoid calamity by staying North. “Pick” the correct rock outcropping and you’ll find the “Lode” you seek.

    Clues:

    • Rocky Mountains, Quest Box 32 has been hidden in Wyoming! Get ready for an adventure
    • Start your Quest in a town named to honor a local rancher and sawmill industrialist. It nearly perished as a town in 1927 when a huge slide caused a dam to break flooding the area.
    • The Slide blocked the river, and formed a five-mile long body of water. Head that direction! The road gets a little rough so a vehicle with some clearance is advised.

    • Get ready Southwest! Clues for box three coming this week!
    • Film festivals, skiing, and an outdoor paradise, Utah has plenty of places to hide a Quest box 3!
    • If you were a boy scout in Utah you will know this canyon well. Its home to six boy scout day camps.
    • Near running water but easy to pass over
    • Don’t venture too far or you may need to retrace your steps…
    • Scout the area for a hollow under a tree where rock hides box 3! This is the last clue for 2 weeks.

    Box #11 – Found

    Clues:

    • Southwest! Box number 11 is in your area!

    Quest Box 24 – Found

    Clues:

    • Get ready Southwest Region, Quest box 24 is out there waiting to be found!!!
    • Quest box 24 can be found in California! This box was hidden by our friends over at Field to Plate, so get ready for an adventure!
    • With over 840 miles of coast line and more than 420 public beaches California’s coast sees more visitors than its mountains, valleys, rivers and lakes. Box 24 is hidden on one of these beaches.
    • To get to box 24 you’ll have to get past Slick. This is his beach. You won’t find much shade but what little is provided is a great place to start.
    • Five of seven and three paces away find box 24. This is the final clue.

Northwest

      • Starting from Oregon’s largest city, head East.
      • Head for the popular hiking trials just after this tunnel…

      Box #1 – Found

      Clues:

      • Get ready Northwest! Clues for box one coming this week!
      • Box 1 is in Work Sharp’s home state, but in the land of Chief Joseph. The deep canyons hide more than just history.
      • Between the North and South Fork of this wilderness river lies a treasure chest packed with loot. Be prepared to hike and be prepared to get wet if you want to find this box.
      • Descend into the canyon via a trail named after an iconic western game animal. After wading across the river search among the dry log jams.
      • The Wenaha river trail is traveled by more wildlife than humans. After crossing the south fork begin your hunt. Happy hunting. This is the last clue for two weeks.

      Box #16 – Found

      Clues:

      • Get ready Northwest, clues coming later this week for box #16!!!
      • Northwest box 16 is in WASHINGTON! Richy Harrod, producer of the Northwest Outdoorsman hid this box. If you want this treasure you better be ready to hike!
      • In a mountain range that runs 50 miles east and west out of the Cascades. Named after a local Indian Tribe.
      • Located in a fire area named after something you would find in your kitchen or dining room
      • On a mountain with a woman’s name that also means flower. It sits above Satan’s canyon.
      • If you find the right mountain, as you near the top, look for the prominent sandstone outcropping. It will be hard to miss!
      • “X” marks the spot

      Box 35 – Found

      Clues:

      • Park near the nordic lodge. Be prepared for uphill travel.
      • Head up the road and look for a place to have a snack
      • Fresh snow has covered this box. Take a seat below the bald knob to find the box

    Hawaii
